Differing opinions from the medical community, changing rules from authorities, and an unprecedented time in history combine to make this an impossible topic to address to everyone's satisfaction. We ask that we all act with grace to one another in regards to this topic. This is especially true when interacting with hotel employees enforcing Covid related rules and protocols.
At Worldwide Conference, Novo will follow requirements laid out by the CDC, the authorities of the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico, and the hotel.
If at any point during the conference you do not feel well, we ask that you exercise common sense and avoid contact with others.
The hotel has protocols it will follow if someone does come down with Covid. Likewise Novo has taken precautionary steps to be prepared. We also have a Physician's Assistant attending the conference who is advising Novo leadership on these matters and is also providing care for Novo Missionaries free of charge.
Covid Testing: There is no testing requirement to enter Mexico from another country. The US recently lifted the testing requirement for entry into the United States. So, there is not testing requirement.
Masks: As of this writing (July 2, 2022) masks are no longer required in most places in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Masks are still required inside the CUN airport. Masks are also still required in the buffets and some restaurants on the hotel property. You will be required to have a mask on while walking through buffet lines or to enter some dining establishments until you have been seated.
We support your choice to take precautions and wear a mask during meetings, sessions around the pool, etc.
Please note: The hotel does not offer complimentary masks, so bring some masks for the airport and restaurants or plan on walking to the hotel lobby to buy one for top dollar.
Social Distancing: We will have chairs set aside at the side and back of the main plenary sessions that anyone can use to social distance. Some of the smaller meetings/rooms may not have the ability to create distancing.
