The hotel may have lifeguards, but to be honest we did not see any. There are no fences around the pools. So, please keep a close eye on your children!
The pools and beach have a lot of lounge chairs with palapa shade (see photo). The chairs are first come first served with the exception of a handful of paid lounge beds.
It is a common practice for people to stake out a space by placing towels or other belongings on chairs, then head off to breakfast or to a meeting, etc. While this appears to be allowed, if everyone did this all the time there would not be chairs for those who need them. Use your best judgment.
There are two pools on our properties (DelMar Hotel and Beach Hotel). Make sure not to wander to the pools on the other three connected properties, you will likely get asked to leave (your wristband color will give you away).
One of our pools is named Piscina de Acitividades or Activities Pool and is well suited for families and those who want the action. The other Pool is called the Piscina Tranquila or Quiet Pool. You can find the Activities Pool and Quiet Pool on the Map in this app.
